How create a recurring invoice

A recurring invoice can be used when your customers have subscription-based services. In that case, you don't have to create a new invoice you can send the old one with the new date. This is an automated process that can be initiated at the beginning when you are creating an invoice or when you edit an invoice.

The Invoice will be automatically re-created at the time of the recurring date.

To let your customer know about the recreated invoice, you can send this invoice to the customer after it has been created.
You have to configure email notifications for the customer in order to send this renewed invoice.

To generate a recurring invoice:
create/edit an unpaid invoice
click on the recurring invoice
Select the duration after which the invoice is to be recurred
Select the number of cycles for which the invoice has to be recurred
The date of the recurring will be counted from the day the original invoice has been invoked

Example :

The invoice date is XXXX-07-17
Recurring is every 1 month
The invoice will be re-created (renewed) on XXXX-08-17


Create a new invoice from the main recurring invoice only if the main invoice is with status paid?
If you select now for this field, then the invoice with status paid will not be recurred, or else it can be edited.
To find this option do the following
Navigate to Settings Menu -> Settings -> Cron Job




Terminate the recurring of an invoice:
To stop invoices from recurring edit the invoice by clicking on edit and then selecting no for a recurring invoice option. A cancelled invoice will also recur so do the same to stop it from recurring.
